Receptionist

We're on the lookout for a receptionist who would enjoy taking on a wide variety of tasks beyond the usual desk duties. In our cosy hotel, you'll be more than just a phone answerer and query solver.

The ideal candidate should have:

  • A genuinely friendly manner on the phone, and in person, as the first point of contact.
  • At least three years of receptionist experience, preferably in hotels.
  • Transferable skills from other customer service roles if hotel experience is limited.
  • A flexible approach to handling diverse tasks.
  • A proactive member of our close-knit team, contributing to the hotel’s overall guest experience.

Training will be provided for our systems, and you'll have the ongoing support of our wonderful team.

This role is for 30 hours a week.

You'll work across 5 days, with fixed shifts between 8am and 8pm. Only one weekend work day is required.

Starting April/May 2024.

Breakfast Chef/Cook

Part time Breakfast Chef/Cook Role. If you are a good home cook we'd love to talk with you. We're proud of our delicious breakfasts here at Rose in Vale.

Full training given in our kitchen. Ideally you would hold a Level 2 in Food Safety and Hygiene however, we will provide training if you needed.

Breakfast shift is 8am to 10.30am.

We're looking for a minimum of 2 mornings.

Chef Role. Rose in Vale Hotel is a family owned/operated AA 4-star country house hotel in a private rural setting outside St Agnes with a strong team based environment of skilled and experienced individuals. Receptionist/Duty manager

Are you ready to join a dynamic team in a small, friendly hotel where no two days are the same? We are looking for a third enthusiastic receptionist/duty manager who is ready to take on a variety of tasks beyond the front desk. This is likely your first step into management

In our hotel, your role is key and will not just be about greeting guests and taking bookings; you will also assist in the overall day-to-day running of the hotel so flexibility is key. It would suit someone who likes to get involved in more than just desk work.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of three years’ experience as a receptionist within the hotel industry.
    • We also welcome candidates with reception skills from other industries.
  • Confidence working with computers.
  • Flexible and enjoy working across most aspects of the hotel.
  • Age is not a barrier; we encourage applications from individuals of all ages.

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 40 hours per week over 5 days

Days Off: Thursday and Sunday

Salary: Up to £26,500 pa plus shared tips

Start Date: From April 2025

Relocation: Single, self-contained staff accommodation unit available
