Originally a Cornish Long Cottage, before the Georgian addition, Rose-in-Vale has been welcoming guests as a hotel for over 100 years. Starting from small beginnings as a guest house Rose-in-Vale has grown into a four star Country House Hotel.

Only 3 minutes from the nearest A30 junction.

The Cornish UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Designated Area of Natural Beauty of St Agnes and the South West coastal path is right on our doorstep.

We are only a couple of minutes by car to several beaches and coves around the St Agnes and Perranporth area and just 6 miles from Truro the only city in Cornwall. Affectionately known as 'Our Great Little City', Truro is one of the smallest cities in the UK and is a must see when visiting Cornwall for its stunning Cathedral, cobbled streets, shopping, markets and the Royal Cornwall Museum.

2 - Ideal Base For All Of Cornwall

We are only 3 minutes from the nearest A30 junction. This means you won't have to drive or queue for up to 40 minutes just to reach the A30 like others do when they stay elsewhere.

You'll get to the beaches, car parks and attractions first, arriving refreshed rather than worn out by traffic!

You have no need to move hotels when touring our wonderful county, we are an ideal base to explore all of Cornwall. The best visitor sites, beaches, harbours and top attractions Cornwall has to offer can be reached in under 60 minutes being centrally located on the spectacular Cornish coast. You can arrive knowing that you only have to unpack once!

3 - Adult Only and Pet Free

No children or dogs = a peaceful stay.

Exclusively for adults, we are a unique 4 star Georgian Country House Hotel in the village of Mithian, set in 10 acres of stunning gardens close to the Cornish coast. With only 20 rooms in the hotel we are a lovely small hotel fortunate to have a lot of wide open space outside and plenty of public space inside.

4 - Return to Peace and Quiet

We are a peaceful hotel in Cornwall. Whilst the rest of Cornwall is busy and crowded we remain an oasis of calm to return to at the end of your day exploring. Our guests tell us they love coming back to Rose-in-Vale at the end of their day.

5 - Historic Building and Connections to Poldark

Steeped in history, our Georgian building has been home to some very interesting characters over the last 400 years.

The real life 'Poldark' Captain of Wheal Leisure used Rose in Vale as his winter residence.

If you enjoy a little bit of history and intrigue don't miss our history corridor on the way back from the bar!

6 - Our Solar Heated Pool

Relax to the sounds of the stream as you sunbathe on our sun-trap patio. Cool off in the pool.

You won't find many hotels of our bijou size with a swimming pool. Plus, of course, it's just adults staying so you can enjoy the peace as you lay by the glistening pool.
