Terms and conditions


We regret that we are unable to accept bookings for children under 12 years of age.

Dinner bed and breakfast bookings include a 3 course meal in our restaurant, supplements may apply. The dress code when dining in the restaurant is 'Smart Casual'.

Please note there is no refund for meals which are not taken by guests.

The Hotel reserves the right to change menu offerings and prices.

Only alcohol purchased from the Hotel may be consumed on the premises.
The Hotel shall be entitled to charge corkage should guests consume alcoholic beverages in the Hotel not purchased from the Hotel.

Dogs – well-behaved dogs are welcome. A charge of £9.00 per night per dog applies. We require prior notice that you are bringing your dog with you and we ask that you abide by our "Doggy Guidelines" which you can view online

Dietary or other Special Requirements- to enable us to provide for your needs we ask you to provide details of your requirement in writing or by email prior to your arrival.

Swimming Pool- the heated outdoor pool is usually open from mid- May to mid- September. The pool is solar heated and is only available when the weather is settled. For safety reasons all children under 14 years must be accompanied by an adult (over the age of 18) who can swim and has not been drinking alcohol.

To gain access to your room your full address, along with a valid credit/debit card, is required to be entered onto our secure booking system.

Rooms are available after 14:30pm and we ask guests to vacate by 10:30am on the day of departure.

Check-in times are between 14.30pm and 22.30pm
Check out times are between 7.30am and 10.30am

Smoking (including vaping) Please only use the designated smoking area outside the double doors near the restaurant entrance. We are a smoke free Hotel. This includes all public areas and guest rooms. Smoke and particle alarms are fitted where necessary. Anyone found, or any evidence pointing towards, smoking inside the Hotel including guest bedrooms and bathrooms will be told to stop as they are breaking the law. They will also be charged £100.00 to clean the room for subsequent guests. They may also be asked to leave the Hotel immediately without a refund.

The Hotel reserves the right to refuse a guest entry or accommodation and can require the guest to leave if he/she is causing a disturbance; annoying, threatening or abusing other guests or Hotel staff or is behaving in an otherwise unacceptable manner.

If your room keys are not returned to us on departure it is agreed that the Hotel may charge to your card up to £50.00 to cover the replacement costs.

Deposits, Modifications and Cancellations


A non-refundable deposit will be taken at the time of booking as follows:

General - At the time of booking we will ask for a non refundable deposit equivlent to the cost of one night’s stay.

Non-refundable and special offers - The full amount of your stay will be charged to the card at the time of booking.

We accept payments from a wide range of Debit and Credit cards. We do not accept American Express.

We shall be entitled to deduct from the card details you provide to us any outstanding monies in the event of a late cancellation or any outstanding amount on your account after departure.

Direct bookings:
Non-refundable bookings and special offers are not refundable, cannot be modified and are non-transferable.

​General bookings - cancellations received for any reason are charged as follows (this does not include Christmas, package deals or group bookings):

  • Notification received more than 7 days prior to arrival – deposit held against any future booking taken before 31st December in the same year.
  • Notification received 7 days or less before arrival - loss of deposit. A further charge equivalent to 80% of the tariff may be made if we are unable to re let the accommodation booked for that period.

In your own interest, and for peace of mind, we strongly recommend that you consider Holiday or Room Cancellation Insurance. We will provide any necessary paperwork for an insurance claim should you need to cancel.

Holiday or Room Cancellation Insurance should be purchased immediately after booking your stay. Insurance can be found, and arranged, online.

The Hotel does not provide cancellation insurance.

The proprietors regret that no allowance can be made for rooms not occupied for the full period of the booking, nor for meals not taken when booking inclusive half-board terms or Breaks. Terms cannot be varied after confirmation of bookings.
