Our Hotel is exclusively for adults

Introduction

In booking accommodation with the Hotel you are accepting our terms and conditions. You will be required to sign an arrival form when checking in, electronically or in person. The Hotel reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions where necessary.

Group Bookings

A booking of three or more rooms is considered a group booking and will be subject to group amendment, payment and cancellation terms. Please call the hotel if wishing to make a group booking.

Special Requirements including dietary

To enable us to provide for your needs we ask you to provide details of your requirement in writing or by email prior to your arrival.

Mobility – we have ground floor rooms available and some walk-in showers around the hotel. Please mention when booking.

Meals at the hotel

The dress code when dining in the restaurant is ‘Smart Casual’. Dinner bed and breakfast packages and the ‘first night dinner’ extra include a 3 course meal in our restaurant, any supplements would apply.

Dinner packages and/or pre-paid dinner extra are for overnight guests only and cannot be transferred to any third party. Please note there is no refund for meals which are not taken by guests.

The Hotel reserves the right to change menu offerings and prices. Only food and alcohol purchased from the Hotel may be consumed on the premises. The Hotel shall be entitled to charge corkage should guests consume alcoholic beverages in the Hotel not purchased from the Hotel.

For groups of 6 diners or more a service charge will be added.

Restaurant Reservations when dinner not included

Resident guests who are staying with us on a bed and breakfast basis may also reserve a table in the restaurant. A booking deposit of £10 per person is required to reserve a table and will be taken from your card 24 hours prior to your table reservation.  This will be offset against the evening meal(s) on your final account.

Cancellations after this time will forfeit the booking deposit. Booking deposits are not transferable.

The same terms will apply for any non-resident guests and/or friends of resident guests.

Swimming Pool

The heated outdoor pool is usually open from late May Bank Holiday to mid- September. The pool is solar heated and is only available when the weather is settled. Please ask for pool towels at Reception.

Check-in and Check-out

To gain access to your room your full address, along with a valid credit/debit card, is required to be entered onto our secure booking system.

Rooms are available after 14:30pm and we ask guests to vacate by 10:30am on the day of departure.

Check-in between 14.30pm and 22.00pm
NB: self check-in after 20:00

Check out by 10.30am

Smoke Free Hotel

Please only use the designated smoking area outside the double doors near the restaurant entrance. We are a smoke free Hotel. This includes all public areas and guest rooms. Smoke and particle alarms are fitted where necessary. Anyone found, or any evidence pointing towards, smoking or vaping inside the Hotel including guest bedrooms and bathrooms will be told to stop as they are breaking the law.

You will be immediately be charged £250.00 to clean the room for subsequent guests. If we have to close the room for longer you will be charged for the number of nights closed at the prevailing room rate. You may also be asked to leave the Hotel immediately without a refund.

Access to Accommodation

Guest Behaviour

Guests are expected to conduct themselves appropriately at all times and to comply with Hotel procedures and/or requests with regard to conduct and respect for the property of the Hotel, its employees and guests and their health and safety.

Guests are requested not to disrupt the comfort and enjoyment of other guests, the smooth running of the Hotel, or cause offence to other guests or our members of staff.

We reserve the right to refuse accommodation or services or remove you and members of your party from the Hotel if, in our reasonable opinion, we consider this provision to have been breached.

Where this is the case we shall have no obligation to refund you for lost accommodation, other services or any other loss or expense incurred.

Payment to Hold Reservation

A non-refundable deposit will be taken at the time of booking as follows:

General- bed and breakfast and dinner, bed and breakfast rates

  • deposit amount will be the equivalent of one night’s stay plus any extras. The remaining balance will be taken 14 days prior to arrival from the payment card given to us on booking.
  • Non-refundable and special offers – The full amount of your stay will be charged to the card at the time of booking.

We accept payments from a wide range of Debit and Credit cards. We do not accept American Express. We shall be entitled to deduct from the card details you provide to us any outstanding monies in the event of a late cancellation or any outstanding amount on your account after departure.

Amendments and Cancellations

Amendments – All general/flexi bed and breakfast and dinner, bed and breakfast rates are flexible, you can amend your booking once for free up until 12:00pm fourteen (14) days prior to arrival without an admin fee. Any further amendments will be subject to an admin fee.

After 12:00pm, 14 days prior to arrival, the reservation is non-amendable, non-transferable, non-refundable and the full amount of your booking will become due. ​

Cancellations received for any reason are charged as follows (not including Christmas, package deals or group bookings):

Loss of monies received as per the payment schedule on your booking confirmation. We will send you any necessary paperwork to enable you to claim on your holiday/room insurance.

Non-refundable and Special Offers

Non-refundable rates and special offers are not refundable, cannot be modified and are non-transferable. If you need to cancel we will send you any necessary paperwork to enable you to claim on your holiday/room insurance. If we are forced to close due to COVID restrictions please see our Book With Confidence Guarantee below.

Insurance

Please make sure you have appropriate insurance.  In your own interest, and for peace of mind, we strongly recommend that you arrange Holiday or Room Cancellation Insurance. We will provide any necessary paperwork for an insurance claim should you need to cancel. Holiday or Room Cancellation Insurance should be purchased immediately after booking your stay. Insurance can be found, and arranged, online. The Hotel does not provide insurance for your reservation and you will be held to the terms of your booking. Should you choose not to arrange holiday or Room Cancellation Insurance you do so at your own risk.

Allowances and Variation

The proprietors regret that no allowance can be made for rooms not occupied for the full period of the booking, nor for meals not taken when booking bed and breakfast, inclusive half-board terms or Breaks. Terms cannot be varied after the free amendment period has passed.

Room Keys

If your room keys are not returned to us on departure it is agreed that the Hotel may charge to your card up to £100.00 to cover the replacement costs.

 

Lost Property

We hold lost property for 3 months. To return the items we charge the royal mail signed for postage fee (usually second class unless otherwise stated). Plus a charge of £5.50 for the packaging and the trip to the post office.

 

Dogs – Accepted in the Old Stables Annexe Only

Only direct bookers may reserve one of our only two dog friendly rooms, both of which are outside in the old stable block annexe, each have their own separate entrances. If you wish to bring your dog, please call us to reserve a dog friendly room. Well trained and friendly adult dogs are welcome and there is a nightly fee per dog. Dogs are not permitted in the main hotel or pool enclosure. They must be kept on a lead at all within the grounds and the carpark and we ask that you abide by our Doggy Guidelines.
