Tranquil space to relax

Set in the middle of 10 acres you can find plenty of places to wander or relax. Enjoy a drink by the fishpond, meander through the grounds and spot the ducks, stand on the bridge and listen to the stream, sunbathe by the pool during the summer months. Or choose our tranquil bar and lounge if you prefer to relax inside.

Solar Heated Pool

Read a book, or enjoy a gentle snooze, as you top up your tan on our lovely sun-trap patio. Then cool off in the pool. It’s right next to the stream so you can listen to the gentle sound of the water wending it’s way to the sea. The pool is 10m x 4m and 1.3 metres at the deepest end. Heated by solar panels, the pool opens by the late May Bank Holiday until mid September and is for the exclusive use of Hotel overnight residents.

Mithian Village

Our charming village of Mithian is said to be one of the oldest villages in Cornwall. Rose in Vale grew from a 12th century long cottage which you can experience in the bar and snug. Many of the houses are three to four hundred years old and built of cob and thatch. Our Village Hall, arguably the smallest and quaintest, has a Monthly Market with local produce and arts and crafts. The county wide popular 16th century Miners Arms pub is a 5 minute walk from Rose in Vale.
