Welcome to Rose in Vale Hotel
Escape to our Cornish Country House Hotel, with the best of Cornwall just a stone's throw away. Restore and revitalise in our oasis of calm, a hidden retreat on the north Cornish coast.
Nestled next to the Perrancoombe stream in a valley in Mithian, St Agnes you'll find plenty of space to relax and explore as you step into our Georgian retreat. Originally two Cornish long cottages the Georgian facade was added in the early 1800s by Captain Oates, the owner of the Perranporth Great Wheal Leisure copper mine when he purchased Rose in Vale as a winter residence. Our hotel offers classical character combined with genuine warmth. Discover an unending possibility for enthralling excursions from our perfectly positioned Cornish location.
From our secluded spot on the north coast you can make the most of being in the heart of the peaceful countryside.. yet minutes from the city, south coast and the best Cornwall has to offer.
Did you know we are in Trencherman's Guide? 'A guide with teeth' is how Rick Stein describes it. The independent guide to exquisite dining in the South West includes restaurants, restaurants with rooms and foodie hotels which have been invited into the guide as a result of reaching strict quality criteria.
Our bar offerings are expanding
We have installed some fantastic new pumps next to our Guiness surger which house some 'no nonsense' draught beers. San Miguel a lager from Spain (5%), Poretti an IPA from Italy (5.9%) and a Blonde beer from Belgium (6.7%) originally brewed by the Fathers of Grimbergen Abbey...they knew what they were doing!
